Associate Family/Fertility Lawyer Eva Janta
Family law and fertility law sit at opposite ends of life’s most defining moments. Eva Janta has built her practice around both.
Eva Janta is a lawyer at Progressive Legal Solutions. Known for her empathy, her directness, and a genuine confidence in the courtroom, she approaches every matter, however complex or personal, with purpose, clarity, and care.
Her practice spans two distinct but deeply connected areas of law: family law and fertility law. On the family law side, she works with married and common-law couples, same-sex couples, and separating partners across the full range of matters. She has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal, and is fully prepared to take a matter to court when that is what the circumstances require. Her fertility law practice adds a dimension that few Ontario family lawyers can offer. Eva drafts donor, surrogacy, and preconception agreements for intended parents, donors, and surrogates, helping families form legally and safely through assisted reproduction and private arrangements.
Clients can expect to be told exactly where they stand, what their options are, and to make decisions with full confidence that nothing has been sugarcoated. She recommends other professionals when a situation calls for it, whether a therapist, divorce coach, or evaluator, and is known for the personal touch of reaching out directly rather than relying on staff to carry every communication. They leave feeling heard, well-informed, and better positioned than when they started.
What defines Eva’s practice is simple: she never loses sight of the person behind the file. She understands that the moments that bring someone to a family or fertility lawyer carry weight far beyond the legal questions involved. Whether she is guiding a couple through the aftermath of a separation or helping someone take a step closer to the family they have been working toward, Eva shows up with the same commitment every time: clear thinking, compassion, and an investment in what comes next for her client.
